Hi, I’m Quasi Kili

How it started

My journey began with a bike ride to the recycling center, where I salvaged old devices and took them apart, piece by piece. I needed to know how it worked. This collection of parts later became part of my creations. Later on I claimed the house computer, diving into the worlds of video and music production. After studying Product Development, I co-founded the 3D animation studio Lion Beach (now Haste) with Didi Gonzalez and H. Vanderkamp, running it from 2015 to 2023. Now, as Quasi Kili, I continue to explore the intersections of music, code, sculpture, installations, interactivity, audio, games, video, and visuals.

Artistic Realms

Digital Alchemy

Digital Alchemy is about projects crafted using digital tools. From programming  experimental websites and VR adventures to bespoke software for installations and robots. I’m inspired by what’s possible in the digital realm.

Interactive Installations

My installations are a fusion of art and technology, featuring intricate robots, interactive projection mappings, and interactive game setups. I love to make generative works; machines that feel alive and create. They leave you wondering if you are controlling the machine, or if you are just getting to know the entity.

Sonic Explorations

As a musician and producer, I dive into the world of sound through songwriting, live electronic performances with Ableton, producing tracks, making foley, DJ sets, and crafting custom synths and MIDI controllers. My audio creations are a symphony of dancing, hardship, and tinkering.

Visual Storytelling

I love bringing stories to life through video. Most of my video work was created during my time at Lion Beach and includes music videos for artists like Absynthe Minded, Shht, High Hi and Tsar B. I’ve also worked on product videos, idents and marketing for a diverse range of clients and organizations, including VRT, Ketnet, Delta Light, the UN, Fanuc, Studay, Qmusic (DPG Media), Gent Jazz, Jazz Middelheim, Het Nieuwsblad, Engie, and Telenet.
